As free as the wind;
As wide as the tree
A will in me grows
The will to be the freed kid;
The desire for the mildness killed;
A longing for the ever supressed;
Eating into the chains of time;
Waiting for the will divine;
The wait goes on in sublime.
Prays the will, let the warmth be mine;
Hopes of a time of smiles;
The crackling of the log in the fire;
Aglow on the face with a sigh;
The pages of the book so numbered;
Coming to the end all high.
The tree outside grows all wild and carefree;
Smirks at me and says what are thee;
The sparrow on the branch alights;
And sings merrily till its might.
In all the world i see outside;
Why is it that i am naught of might;
The chains and bonds of blood;
Get all gory and blind my sight.
Like the poet by the waves;
Writes a ode to the roaring surf;
Carries a babe and smiles in haste;
Dawning on truth;
And moving back to the sandy night.....
